With much deliberation, at the pivitol age of 18, Hilda decided to take a clean break from her violin studies to pursue another field of study. This pursuit led her to attain a Degree in Psychology & a Masters in Speech & Language Therapy. After an 8 year journey, in the pursuit of the 'right road', Hilda returned to her Music. She completed her Postgraduate Studies in Music Performance with Honours at the TU Dublin Conservatoire. Hilda was the recipient of the Conservatories many prizes, including the Anne Leahy Travel Bursary which helped Hilda further her music studies at the International Academy in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland.

A keen chamber musician, Hilda has engaged in many projects as a violin/piano ensemble, completing a residency program, as part of the KBC Great Music in Irish Houses Festival, appointed the Galway Music Residency Apprenticeship position, where her duo worked with the Internationally renowned Con Tempo Quartet along with being invited to Sweden’s International Aurora Music Chamber Festival, where Hilda lead the Aurora Symphony Orchestras’ second violins.

Hilda loves exploring the different elements of classical music particularly those with folk influences such as the Argentine Tangos, Spanish Flamencos as well as her love for Film Music. Hilda is one of the co founding members of the Hibertango Quintet.

Passionate about the Behavioural Sciences, when not teaching or performing, Hilda likes to write & share her thoughts & experiences, as a classically trained violinist with a Science backround, in the hope to empower & educate people around the benefits of Music Education.
